Dante Battocchi, received a doctor degree in materials engineering from the University of Trento in Trento, Italy, a master’s degree in polymers and coatings ad a PhD in Materials and nanotechnology from NDSU, Fargo ND. He is the co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of Elinor Specialty Coatings LLC (Elinor) in Fargo, ND, USA. He is also Adjunct Professor in the Coatings and Polymeric Materials Department at North Dakota State University. Battocchi’s work includes development and optimization of Magnesium-rich primer for chromate-free protection of aluminum alloys, as well as the production of selectively removable coatings for art preservation. His published work includes articles in journals such as Corrosion Science, Journal of Electrochemical Society, Progress in Organic Coatings and numerous conference proceedings. He previously served as an agent with the Italian State Police.
