Dr Martin Cooper joined the conservation team at Lynton Lasers Ltd in 2013. He is well known in the laser conservation field, having completed a PhD in laser cleaning of stone sculpture in 1993 at Loughborough University in the UK. Dr Cooper spent twenty years working as a Conservation Scientist at National Museums Liverpool, where he worked closely with conservators to introduce laser cleaning to the conservation profession through research, seminars, conferences, workshops, demonstrations and training courses. Dr Cooper was author of the first text book on laser cleaning in conservation and has published on the subject extensively. He is a member of the Permanent Scientific Committee of the LACONA (Lasers in the Conservation of Artworks) international conference series.
